While it bears the name of our leading corporate sponsor, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is a registered non-profit organization originally formed by Blackcomb Skiing Enterprises in 1992 to enhance the Mountain’s role as a supporter of the community. While the name changed to The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation in 1997 to reflect the merger of the two mountains, the Foundation’s goal has not. Through the corporate support of Whistler Blackcomb, TELUS and numerous businesses, volunteers, successful event fundraisers as well as donations from scores of individuals the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation plays a unique and significant role in supporting the communities of the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Under the direction of the Foundation’s President, Dave Brownlie, and Executive Director, Mei McCurdy, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has raised over $9.4 million for Registered Sea to Sky Charities making it the largest fundraising organization in the area. Our mandate is to support larger, more everlasting community projects within the Sea to Sky Corridor, as well as to build a stronger relationship with residents of the community. The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support to organizations whose activities provide benefit to residents of the Sea to Sky Corridor in the areas of health, human services, education, recreation, arts & culture and the environment with a special emphasis placed on youth and family programs.
A sell-out since its introduction in 1998, the Founders Pass is the primary fundraising vehicle for the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation. The Foundation raises $300,000 each year for Sea to Sky community charities through the sale of 50 VIP Annual ski passes, generously donated by Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain Resorts Ltd.
The Founders Pass is fully transferable, 50% is tax deductible and the pass offers unique privileges including:
• Lift Line Priority for the first ride up of the day for the passholder and 3 paid guests
• 10 fresh tracks breakfast tickets
• Summer Skiing and Sightseeing access
• Discount Perks of a regular Whistler Blackcomb Season Pass
• Complimentary on-hill storage

The price is $6,000 Canadian per year.
